Steering Fluid, Gl-5 okay?

Hey guys!

Wanted to drain the steering fluid because I have reason to believe it's been 20 something years. lol. I dont have time to go through the TM today so does anyone know off-hand how much and/or the type of fluid it takes?

I heard theres no way to drain 'all' of it, but I figured it'd be good to at least attempt a flush. All input helps.

I can't imagine spending $15000 and not having the time to read a book(but instead post a thread) to get the correct information.



I must ask, where do you need to drive your truck to today in such a rush, that you do not have time to educate yourself, before you service someting most people never service ,ever?
