The title pretty much says it all, I need a copy of TM 9-1616. This is the depot level maintenance manual for the M5 generator set used with the M5 director and Bofors 40mm AA gun. Electronic or paper would be fine. If anyone has one they would like to sell or could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Not quite what you are looking for, but maybe helpful -
http://www.hnsa.org/doc/index.htm#guns
has manuals for the 40mm guns and other WWII and Korean era guns and fire controls.

These guys claim to have it- ($)

Buy an earlier version (TM 9-616)

cable manual -

Thanks Runk. I have a PDF copy on hand and a paper copy on order of TM9-616 (user's manual), and a paper copy on order of TM 9-2616 (apparently some kind of instruction manual). If I can't find a copy of TM9-1616 I'll order it through those guys. $40 seems reasonable as it's 377 pages, and it's what I really need for the complete teardown. Thanks for the link on the cable manual. I've been searching Google for 2 days and hadn't found that site for some reason.

Is there a government source for obsolete TMs? I know they're all in the library of Congress, but is there any way to get a copy short of actually going there and scanning it?
