what did you replace your 3" heater vent hoses with ?

Lowes: 8' of 3" ridged dryer flex tubing was $9... I moved my heater system into my cab and used about 2.5' of it...
Gungearz,
I'm going to do a search for bringing the heater system into the cab, like you did. I would imagine the heater box is over by the passenger's feet...did you still bring in fresh air from the fender scoop or just air from inside the cab? Then just (2) holes for the (2) water hoses, I guess use the 4" hole coming from the fender scoop, make a round plate with 2 1"holes... any pics of the way you did yours?

Repo3004, I just left the house to go to work and ill post pics then... My heater was quite a fun little fab project. Cutting, welding, grinding, and painting are involved. It circulates all of the cab heat. Pulling in cold air would defeat the purpose of relocating the heater. The truck pulls in enough cool air on its own....
The parts you will use from your existing fender mounted coolant Heater are:
1. Entire heater box with fan and heater core...
2. 6" to 4" steel offset reducer boot...
3. Diverter with cable, knob, and cable mounting bracket...
4. Coolant shut off valves (if you have them)
5. Hi/Lo switch and mounting bracket....
Things you need to buy:
1. 3" ridged flex dryer pipe...
2. 12' of 5/8" coolant hose...
3. 1-3/4"npt to 5/8" hose fitting...
4. 1-3/4"npt to 5/8" 90 degree shut off
5. 2-5/8" 90 degree coolant elbows (shortest you can find. I used 1" long plastic)
6. 8-1 1/2" hose clamps...
7. 12g 20a inline fuse...
8. 12g wire...
Post some pics after work.... Feel free to ask questions.....

Gungearz, thanks for the pics and the shopping list. You have no idea how much that helps.
Your welcome, if you have further questions. Feel free to ask... Just make sure you mount the box as far to the right as you can, I wanted the heater hoses out of the way and mounted the heatercore upside down (nippes up), make the brackets then go for the diverter and boot, they have to welded together... The flex pipe to the defrosters are going to be fun... Take the dash cluster out....
