On the center of the timing cover on an NHC250 is a camshaft cover plate. There is an o-ring seal it says part of kit 3011472 in the tm. The diagram shows the cover then 2 shims and then the seal. I am getting some oil seeping from this cover. I called cummins support they werent able to pull anything up. Has anyone changed this seal? Did you get a cummins original seal or can I use a generic o-ring? Thanks for the help.
Will

What do you mean by, "they weren't able to pull anything up"?

Are you saying they could not identify the parts with your engine tag information?

Just a guess but, the oem part numbers(with an exploded view) should be in the appropriate TM for your truck.

No they could not give me any information they said in their diagram it didnt have that cover. I was able to reference an entire engine seal kit with the o-ring in the kit but I did not want to buy a complete kit for one 1 inch seal ring

And don't change the gaskets/shims thickness. That is set for the cam endplay.

Well, I used them(looked in more than one parts tm) and came up with what he needed. No calls to dealers. Just looked and there it was(the part he needed) and found the part specs(so it can be sourced locally) or orded from his dealer(by Cummins part number).

I stand corrected. Don't know how he missed the part number just to the left of what he quoted. It certainly shows up on the website where I get parts for this engine. Sorry Doghead.
