I had my newer 923 in a parade this last weekend and went to put it into low range it shifted right in perfectly but I couldnt get it to go into neutral to lock the parking brake. The selector would stop half way between drive and park and if you shut the truck down it wouldnt start because of the neutral safty switch it would have to be put back into high range to shift back into neutral to restart it. There must be a cable out of adjustment and I hadnt thought about it until a member of our MV club was explaining the same symptoms with his truck to me last night so I figured I would put it out there maybe someone can explain the cause and how to fix it to me.

I have run into the same thing on my M923 too. I haven't looked for a fix yet so I will be watching for responses.

Bruce I believe thats where they came from there does seem to be a history of things being hooked up wrong and not having linkages adjusted to spec coming out of there.

When they rebuilt them they put the MWO in that has a has a block that prevents you from using low range in reverse. They are tricky to adjust, and can cause this problem.
