Douglas to Packard Connector Fit?

Question: if the metal shells on Douglas connectors are removed, will Douglas and Packard connectors.....connect?

I do not have any Douglas stuff on hand to test. Asking because I may end up buying a trailer harness with Douglas and the intervehicular cable has Packard.

Yes, the Packard cable should plug into the Douglas harness.

They will sort of connect. You'll lose the locking ability and waterproof also. I'd just make a short pigtail with Packard on one end and Douglas on the other.

I'd replace the Douglas connectors on the harness where it meets the inter-vehicular cable with Packard connectors, that way, no problems.
