where does fuel cap gasket 0110-0419 live? the ipc shows under the spacer in the head but that spacer looks thin and I don't really want to pull on it... any one have a photo of the spacer removed from the cylinder head between the heat sink......
definitely remove all 4 of them and have them gone through. i thought mine was running great too until jerry did them. when i got them back it was a totally different generator. there are 3 gaskets per injector you will need when you put them back in.

Yeah thats the first gasket so that goes in yhen the spacer then fiber washer and cooling fin. That spacer is about 3/16" thick steel. You wont bend it. Clean the rust on the walls above it with some sandpaper or wire wheel then you can even LIGHTLY slide hammer it if necessary.

they are on back order right now from sears parts direct so I was able to get them off the big auction site from a seller that had them in stock. I will have 4 extra in the future that I might keep for spares...

The fiber washers are current new parts from onan. I get them from a diesel engine shop that has an account with cummins mid south. $4.00 each or a bit less maybe IIRC. Made in 2013

it goes,

thin copper ring against the seat in the head<<<<Steel spacer<<<<<Fiber washer<<<<Aluminum heatsink<<<thick copper ring<<<<Injector

I use sticky copper head gasket spray on all of my injector copper sealing rings.. Necessary? No. Can't help myself I suppose.

Take your aluminum heat sinks and lapp the inside faces down flat. Piece of sandpaper on a granite counter would work.

Anti sieze on the OD of the aluminum heatsink and a light smear on the portion of the injector body that goes inside the aluminum.

In regards to the steel spacer. I had one real nasty one last year and it would not come off. TO avoid pulling the head and torching or blue axing it out I found this
http://www.harborfreight.com/blind-hole-bearing-puller-95987.html

Worked good after I set down my purse and gave it ****.
now you guys tell me after my home made dent puller with vise grips welded to the end with a 90 degree wrench gripped in the vise grip broke off and dropped into the cylinder!!!

no (but thank you) keep it for when SHTF I was able to get the piece out with a small magnet on safety wire that I dropped down into the cylinder thru the fuel hole and get the piece out... I will keep you in mind for when I need complete gasket kits and pistons and rings...

Ok so when i pulled all of my injectors the copper ring stayed in the injector hole. Should i try and remove them or just leave them and re use them how they are? If i need to remove them how do i get them out?

"I have all 3 gaskets on order for each cylinder and will hold off until they arrive I want to make sure I have no leaks that could cause low compression."

Where did you order all 3 gaskets? how much did that run?

sears parts direct ran about 65.00. All but one fuel injector gasket has arrived but I also was able to get the heat sink gaskets and the injector copper gaskets from the big auction site just incase sears fell through..
