What are M105's going for?

I am needing a decent M105 to use the bed and springs for a M35A2 bob project and was wondering what I should budget to spend? I am thinking about buying a trailer but have no idea what would be considered a good deal on one. I would like to have one with the rails if it doesn't have a top I can always get one of those later. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Rust, paint, tires, accessories, bows, cover, etc.

Fully loaded in top condition, $900 retail.

Minor rust, no bows, no cover, tires well worn, no rear stabilizer, rust embedded in springs, $300 retail.

Forget about the undercarriage. Just get a perfect bed, decent springs, which can be wire brushed once off easy enough. Scrap the rest for $100 plus parts.

Get er done!

Too many variables to say.

Past prices do not mean the next auction will follow that trend.

Covers are no longer manufactured.

Location, buy close or spend several hundred in expenses recovering it.

You will simply have to pay whatever it takes to win one.

I haven't watched your area, but I would guess 500-1500 may win one with a cover.

Thanks for the help. I have an older single wheel m105 that came with my deuce but the front of the bed is bowed out where they were hauling something and it hit the front of the bed bowing it out or I would just use the one I have. It only has light surface rust but the bent bed is a deal killer.

There's nothing wrong with what he's asked.
Really?

...have looked on GL and most of the ones in Texas do not sell until around January 28.
So it's okay to discuss upcoming auctions, locations and dates, as long as... what? That makes no sense.

trider, not directing any of this towards you, more interested in the management's interpretation of their rules.

I was always under the impression it had yo do with a specific auction coming up, not generalities.
And in this case I think it fair to say there is nothing so common or special on a M105 that would raise any brow.

You sound like someone desperate to stretch the rules, then have someone to point the finger at in blame.
I would recommend you avoid all together. Read the rules.

Have never posted anything even remotely close to rubbing up against that rule, but am awfully confused about all this. Read something once that a moderator wrote, where it was explained that the reason for this rule, at least in part, is to avoid potential conflicts between members, as bidding might be affected by discussions related to any upcoming auctions. So I've always thought that posting anything about upcoming auctions that might affect bidding is taboo. Surprised to see that evidently, it's okay to post details like the location and time auctions for specific items are ending, when it seems to me that kind of information could affect bidding? Obviously nobody gives a **** about these M105 trailers, but that's not the point, is it? Could you please explain the intent behind this rule to me if I've misunderstood it? And maybe you could clip this discussion and move it to the 'website help' section in order to keep from taking this thread further off-track. Thanks.

Let me clarify this rule for YOU.

Never post anything about GL.

For everyone else, use caution and interpret the rule as you may. If you misinterpret it, one of the site staff will correct your interpretation by either editing or deleting your post.

The basic rules were set up by the site owner. Any tweaks done to them are with his blessing. There are many discussions behind the scenes with the folks charged with running the site and how to interpret the rules. The intent of the rules, frankly, are not for public discussion. Each one of us here is a guest in the owner's house. If we don't like or continue to criticize the method in which he runs his house, we are free to uninvite ourselves or perhaps the owner or his designee might uninivte us from the house. Either way it's his site, runs by his rules and anyone that want's to challenge them, can do so at their own risk.

Recovry4x4 summed it up, but this is the jest of what I replied to in your other thread about the site legal disclaimer. Again, we're only the staff here. Chris owns the site, trademark, LLC, exc. We're just following his rules.

I like staying at this house, it is a good place, but like any family it has its times of arguing, differences of opinion, joy, sorrow and happiness. Overall though a great family :)

Thanks, that's really helpful. If you look through my posts, should be clear that I come here to learn and to share tech. That's all. Not to cause trouble. Was simply asking for clarification because we have been asked, specifically, by moderators, to police ourselves, to help each other follow the rules. But there's way too much inconsistency in the way the rules are enforced around here, and some of the moderators are the worst offenders. Can you see how that makes it kind of difficult for us? You know, to follow the rules? I value this community as a technical resource, but the way that it's managed, as evidenced by your last post, leaves something to be desired.

The intent of the rules, frankly, are not for public discussion.
See, that's the problems. If you aren't able/willing to articulate the intent behind rules, especially when they're unclear, how can you expect people to interpret and follow them? I'm not challenging you, or trying to be combative. Honestly. Only to reach some understanding here, as to what these rules are supposed to accomplish.

You closed that other thread, so I couldn't respond, but to be clear - I don't have any problem with your rules. Or the rules, whoever they belong to. In that other thread, was only suggesting that there is an (easy) way to address members' concerns about ownership of the content they contribute to this site. That's all.

Jesusgatos,

The reason behind the auction rule has been discussed numerous times in threads already. This is pretty much settled.

Please refrain from the constant testing and or pushing the limits in the open forums. This will be your friendly reminder.

Thank You
