I recently won a mep-925b gen. I have been reading the TM and searching the net for more info. The TM lists the spin on oil filter as 541.050.2E, I looked up the filter for a generic Farymann 43F which is listed as a HW1103. Does anyone know if there is an off the shelf Napa cross reference for the oil filter? The fuel filter is listed as a 32260 which is a cartridge filter. The filter housing top is mounted and I have a plastic screw-on ring but no bottom housing piece to hold the filter. It looks like there is supposed to be a hose that comes off the bottom of the filter housing also. The TM lists the housing as 96-9165. Does anyone have any knowledge they can share on this? Here is a picture of the fuel filter area with plastic ring. I only see a fuel feed it would appear the return is recirculated internally. Thanks in advance.

I sent you a PM. Your pic is the Racor filter head. Just buy the element assembly from parker and you are good to go. The oil filter non-mil part number is listed in the very back of the parts manual. From that number you can get a NAPA. I think it is the same as one of the bigger Briggs. NAPA had it in stock. Same with the air filter, its a Fram something or other, same as an early 80's Honda. Again, listed in the very back of the manual. Let me know if I need to untarp mine to get more info.

I sold one to an off grid guy that loves it.

I'm going to make a battery bank and put on a large inverter. I'm also going to make it variable speed so it can run slow when low power is needed. I've done preliminary testing and it produces 24 volts at a pretty low rpm. Also, it appears easy to manually control the field in the alternator so that a specific voltage can be made, such as 32volts to equalize a 24 volt battery. Did you find the hand crank under your unit? They start easy by hand.

I got 3 of them I have a bad habit of never buying just one of anything. I always wanted one and I had bid on a few and they went rather cheap I think. I have a 70 amp 28v gen I tried to slave a truck off that one day and it just wasn't happening. The hawker agm batteries that have been in the recent truck rebuilds would make great batteries for what you want to do. The manual states the unit is designed to make 24v at low speed. I did not see the hand crank I will look tomorrow. The Farymann 43F motor appears to be very high quality and efficient. One might be able to replace the 24v alternator inside the gen with an AC stator.

I looked at mine this morning.
Air filter Wix 46090 or Fram Ca-6306
Large fuel filter Where yours is missing: Fuel Master 100 Series 6 micron # 33168 Also 33260 is called for as an alternate. NOTE there arre several options here and any are ok to use. The number I give above are spin on and dont use your cap you have in your pic. Yours had a Racor style that probably had a clear bottom bowl and had that cap on the bottom of it. Not needed necessisarily.
small Fuel filter, I used NAPA 3095
Oil filter - Lost my cross reference! I'll find it eventually. I was able to absolutely cross it over on line with a lot of work, confirming size and gasket and threads, etc.. Any 43F oil filter should work. The 43F is made both horizontal and vertical layout but same filter. BTW the big auction site has OEM Farymann 43F oil filters for good price right now. Mine has the Farymann filter on it. The one I sold last year used a NAPA filter.

Thank you. Mine does not have threads anywhere for a spin on filter. I will have to take the fuel filter housing off and see if I can find any more info on it
Thanks

Let me stand corrected maybe not a spin on but with a bolt or nut from the bottom. I'll try to get a pic of mine. My housing looks identical. Been a while since I had one of these apart.

See if you can get info on that flowmaster I listed as that is what is on mine now. Was put on by the military.

I think I may have figured it out. The top housing is a Stanadyne FM100 and there seems to be a variety of filters that will fit it.
