So, do you need our help or do you have a tow truck on the way and the situation handled?

I hope you get this all sorted out & home safely soon. The trucks looked a tad unkempt from the auction pictures & are an unknown to me, so I stopped my bidding when they passed my comfort zone. I wonder is it a QC problem or a defect in the design from the manufacturer? Time will tell as more folks buy these surplus trucks & report back on the problems they are coming across.....as is being reported. Good luck to you on this endeavour!

I'm still in west texas or I'd help you.

But just to make sure whoever comes to get you is squared away....

Can anyone verify the pin size and towing bracket thickness? It looks bigger than what it was on the deuce.

Wish I could help.

THIS!

But I have to ask, what pre-drive checks did you do?
PATRACY, I was going to post the same thing, but I was afraid that the "post police" (not the mods) would have jumped down my throat as though I was raining on the OP's parade. This situation is EXACTLY why people should generally get their trucks hauled home.

It appears this lock up problem is prevalent with these. It looks like we need to be prepared to pull the hubs when we pick these up. I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a printable "Pick UP Check List" for all the common models. We have a lot of newbies and it would help us forgetful Old Farts. It could have the basics as well as appendices for model specifics like pulling the hubs.

The preview ,pre-flight and drive home is very much part of joy and excitement of MV'ing for me.

DO you still need a TOW.
If you pull the front caps it should still roll with a locked diff.

Please update, I can roll Squirt and tow-bar you in.

Will be out of service for a couple of hours then back.
Let US know,
