Czech events last weekend

As part of our Newcastles Conference 2014 we organized here in Nove Hrady (New Castle in Czech), we had three MVs parked next to the Iron Curtain open air museum, which is located at the border crossing between the Czech Republic and Austria.

My first MV event and our truck was not there








This is from the local club I will be member of also. They only had the jeeps out since this was only a very small two-hour event.

During the excursion to World Heritage Town Cesky Krumlov, I saw this beauty in the town square. They planned a bigger event that weekend to re-enact the battle around Cesky Krumlov at the end of WW II. Being organizer of the conference, I could not jump ship to enjoy that event instead. Again,

Not yet, I will inform as soon as I get it, but it mostly takes at least a week or 10 days, and with several bank holidays in Europe, it will take longer I would think. The skyping was fun but it would have been better to be there in the flesh.

May 1 is celebrated here and also the end of WW II which can be May 5 (in a.o. Netherlands) or May 8 (Czech Republic).

Here's a funny for ya.

I gave the shirt and the address to my office manager and told her to go mail it and to be sure they copied the address just as it was on my paper note, and she did.

When she took the package to the counter all three mail clerks stopped what they were doing to come look at the package as they had never seen anything mailed to the Czech Republic before!

BTW, you were right Robo, the mailing cost WAY more than the shirt did!!

I am glad they did at least know that the Czech Republic existed.

Just thought about it, I should have asked all you guys to sign it, that would have made it really special!

Dammitman!! Wish I had thought of having everyone sign your shirt!! Well, just know that we are all thinking about our Brother across the waters every time you wear it.
