Cleaning up the truck for the Fourth to take a drive and Melvin here insists on takin a ride.
He lives in the upright and wants to go.
Chased him away but keeps coming back.
He lives in that upright.
I'll take him to the beach.

I have Melvins cousin up here & he loves to stay where ever he wants to on the truck. Running him off is not what I want to do as he eats any bug that comes near. The smaller trucks, that go faster, might loose him in the windstream, if I am not paying attention. Rain frogs are the best for eating bugs & they come in so many camo uniforms.

Way better than a snake! There must have been lots of squirrels and mice at my truck's PO's place. I'm still finding nuts and nests. Dang things chewed up the heater damper gasket and made a nest of it in the elbow!

You guys down south can have all the slimy critters and spiders and stuff. Yuck.

Of course we do have mountain lions and grizzly bears here that can actually eat you. Then again, less likely to find one making a nest in your truck.

This reminds me of a recovery I did a couple months ago. Was driving a deuce home from St Augustine FL, looked over and realized I had a co-pilot (aka soldier B). He sat there and sunned himself most of the way home. Told him some great stories on that 12 hour trip ( most of them not true...)

I have a mountain lion living in the cab of my truck. She just sits on the passenger seat when I drive. Just don't make any sudden movements and make sure she aint hungry.[thumbzup] I wish my truck was ready for the Fourth. Next year, next year.auaaua

We have lots of black bears and some have even attacked people. They were being fed by folks and lost their fear of us.
There are panthers here though you never see them.
But we have more gators than people. The lakes are so thick with them you can walk across it on their backs. Just yesterday a man in Mulberry went after the gator that grabbed his dog, he almost lost his arm and his life to it. He was rescued by some boys. People are stupid and feed them too.

Don't forget the racoons, opossums and giant palmetto bugs!

Don't leave out those armadillos (or possum on the half shell) that dig a hole, while looking for grubs to eat, for you to break an ankle in. At work, they almost dig mantraps the holes are so big!
