Just ordered a kent moore J-26999-30 adapter for compression test on 6.2,any input on a comp. gauge that's compatible with this adaptor,if it tests good going turbo.

take your time, it would just be sitting on a shelf if it were here.
Got the test done a few weekends ago.Great to know I have very healthy motor! 395-405 per cylinder,and I installed oil pressure gauge and it carries 50-55 lbs.warm at idle.Used your gauge and adaptor and my set up also,both read the same.

You could check compression quick and dirty with a digital oscilliscope. One that logs and graphs current draw over time.

Saw that on a car program. The ammeter function of the o-scope measures current of the starter motor. Just disconnect the fuel and crank the starter motor for a few seconds. As the compression builds in the cylinder, the starter motor draws more current.

I don't think it would give you an easy indication of which cylinder was the culprit, but it would be a quick way to determine if compression was an issue at all.
