M923a1 windshield washer system operation

When I operate the washer control and push it in all the way the top on the reservoir blows off--getting to much air pressure into the bottle-if I press it in 1/8 of an inch it works ok--is the control valve on the dash adjustable or is mine bad--thanks George

Plastic Bottle Threads FUBAR (REPLACE)
Screw Down Lid Threads FUBAR (REPLACE)
Kink in outlet hose (UNKINK, POSSIBLE REPLACE)
Jets blocked (PULL, DE-CLOG FLUSH WHILE PULLED, REINSTALL)

Someone would have a real winner if they could find a GLASS bottle that simply swaps in.
That plastic pos jar is a pos. Maybe even a way w/ bulkhead barbs and use a new metal lid.

does the washer system just not work the way it is set up---seems like instead of 5 lbs of air pressure in the system there is 85 lbs

I had the same issue. I replaced the washer dash switch and problem solved. Will /suprman has them in the classifieds

I hope I'm not hijacking, but I have a similar issue. With my m923a2, when I push the washer fluid button, instead of the lid blowing off, it some spray out the jets, but mostly, the resivior bottle whale blows fluid out the vent hose. Does this mean the jets are partially blocked?

they probably are-- I had to get paint off mine and dig them out with a small nail
