Will these work together? I have been reading mixed things. I do know as of now some of the bolts do not line up on the bed rails. So can anyone confirm?????

M880 bows and cucv top

This was a long time ago, but when I was trying to set up the top on my M1008 I remember
having some M880 parts in the mix, and had to do a bunch of mods. I don't remember exactly what I did, but I do remember it was a pain in the rear.

My search-ability on here sucks but, there is an army TB on using the M880 cover on the CUCV that is posted on here somewhere. It will work with some minor mods. should be fairly straightforward to figure out.

I still have the truck. but I took the parts off a long time ago. If I remember right, the only mods
to the truck itself are the holes drilled in the sides to mount the parts. The trucks don't come with these holes. They are a field mod. Mine had been drilled but The truck didn't come with the parts. I managed to get a bunch of parts, but some were M880 and some were M1008 so none of the holes lined up. Also some of the strps that have the turnbuttons were too long and had to be
shortened. None of the turnbuttons worked so I bought abunch of new ones, but the new ones had two holes. I made a jig to drill two holes in the rail for each turnbutton and that worked out ok.
It took me a while to find an actual cover that worked.
Sorr I don't have any pictures, but it is pretty straight forward. You jst need to measure carefully so that the top matches up with the turnbuttons.

Here is the link to the turnbuttons that I bought. I am not sure whether I bought
the double high ones or not, so make sure you measure which ones you need.
I used some SS flat head machine screws and nyloc nuts to fasten them.
