939 abs ?

With the standard 939 ABS, each control valve controls one side of each axle, with the back axle being the sensor wheels. If you bob (neuter) a 939 and plumb one wheel to one valve and the other wheel to the other valve, if the abs activates, it could cause a spin, so how about plumbing both wheels to the front valve and plug the ports on the rear valve, or moving lines around so one valve controls one pot on each wheel and the other valve controls the other pots., this way the abs cannot cause a spin ???

Any thoughts on this ????

I believe the same, every morning when I go out I PRAY to the GREAT MV GOD, I say " Oh great MV GOD, PLEASE FORGIVE me for this MV desecration for I am nothing but a lowly MV whore"

ABS activation wont make it spin, it pulses the brakes many, many times a second. As fast as it activates you won't completely loose brakes on one wheel in the rear to the point that it would cause a spin. The reason it's not on the front is the amount of weight that's on the front makes it unlikely to lock those wheels, the lightness of the rear is what makes the rear axle so quick to lock the wheels. I wouldn't expect much difference in abs performance from a stock vs. bobbed truck.

Think of lightweight civilian trucks that have or had only rear abs at times like the Ford Ranger. Never had a issue with it spinning unless it was customer provoked. If it rained we always got lots of folks coming in with complaints of rear wheels grabbing real fast under braking which was ABS activation.

Just my .02, maybe one of our members that has driven both will chime in soon.

The ABS modification was about preventing engine stalling and loosing steering assist. Since the front tires are not connected to the engine under normal road use, there would be no reason for equipping that axle with ABS. (in addition to the weight aspect)
