So besides the standard 1-3/8" bore wheel cylinders, and the larger 1.5" diameter wheel cylinders used on the front axle of the M35a3 trucks, there is also a 1.75"diameter wheel cylinder that may fit (it may be a little too fat though and possibly rub against the shoe return spring. I'm not suggesting to use this as most 6x6 deuce brake systems may not have enough fluid capacity, but for Bobbed trucks and those with the skill and knowledge of their brake system who like to try different things here it goes: The DORMAN W1012 is the big daddy to the other 2 sizes as described in post 3.
With those cylinders up front, it would make the old deuce stop on a dime ! Or flip over !!! HaHaHa !!!

That thread will be the larger of the 2 sizes.... so its 1/2-20. I don't have a Napa part handy but O'Reilly has it as an Edelmann 120500

Here are some pictures of a DUAL circuit brake system of an Air force truck that I had from last year. Might help.
Question Mike. How is the trailer air line plumbed on the Air Force system? I'm installing one and can't tell if it is from the left airpack or tee'ed into both. Thanks. Scott

Its Tee'ed to both through a checkvalve on the drivers side frame rail above the spare tire area. Its on pdf page 44 of this TM HERE. You can find the check valve's cheap on ebay, its usually a Bendix 278614 DC4 (I replaced mine earlier last year).

Its also mentioned in the TM for the M35a3 trucks. You can find info on the brake system here in TM9-2320-386-24P starting around PDF page 236 up to about 256.

Here's some information I had trouble finding.

Brake line tee mounted on the frame rail above the master cylinder: 7373254
Brake line tee on the front axle: 7773252
Brake line tee between rear axles (the one that goes from the hard line to the two soft lines): 7373251

As far as I can tell none of these are available from anyone other than MV parts dealers.

Another area I had trouble with was the adapters that screw into the back of the MC and side of the airpack that the hydraulic lines connect to and their copper crush washers. I read somewhere that they were female inverted flare to male NPT, but that's not the case. They're female 5/16" inverted flare to straight 5/16" SAE thread 1/2-20. I actually found a manufacturer for the same kind of adapters (edelmann 265500) and the copper crush washers are available from napa (napa 1244).

Hope this helps someone out.

Their is no great rebuild kit available for the DUAL CIRCUIT master cylinders like there is for the single circuit ones. The only available rebuild kits are like the picture below that include some seals and a C clip. O-rings are EPDM. The repair kit that will fit the dual circuit 87-89' trucks and the 93' & up A3 trucks is Raybestos MK1624

I'm no longer selling the braided brake hoses since the manufacturer has become unreliable with ship dates and parts availability. Since many folks still would like the option of getting braided stainless steel brake hoses, I've put together a list of parts needed to make them. I believe BRAKEQUIP is the only manufacturer of DOT approved braided brake hoses at the moment. If you want hoses made, check out their website www.brakequip.com and select "LOCATE A DEALER". I was able to get all I needed for a braided line at the Parker Store. I walked in with parts in hand and walked out with a new line for my bobber rear axle. Since I needed to get rid of the tee, instead of getting a plug, they just gave me a 90 bend to connect to the frame hard line. Stainless steel braided hose is 1/8" ID 24" in length. I hope that's going to work okay. I haven't put it on the truck yet. Fittings are 1/2-20NF swivel nuts. Total cost end to end: $41.

I thought that would be the end of the story, but last weekend I rolled the single axle back under the bobber springs and snapped an axle hard line in the process. The saga continues... So that's what brought me back to this thread. Found some great info on here. Thanks, Peashooter!

good stuff! The parker hoses wont be DOT approved but thats probably not a concern in your case.
DOT approved stainless braided hoses have a plastic jacketing on them so dirt doesn't get in the braiding and wear away the inner teflon hose. All fittings are also permanently crimped/swaged on and the fittings will have a number stamped on each one that traces it back to the hose builder in case of any accidents . You could put some sleeving or heat shrink over the braiding to help keep it clean and prevent any issues.

Another rebuild seal kit is DORMAN part # TM351624

BOTH BRANDS have recently STOPPED MAKING these kits so you may want to try to find one soon to keep on hand.

I want to take a moment to offer my sincere gratitude to peashooter for all of the valuable information and suggestions provided in this thread!

Due to the excessive amount of salt used at my place of employment, the steel brake lines on the rear axles of my M35A3 rusted badly over the past 3 winters, culminating in a rear brake failure three weeks ago. After studying the TMs, along with the information and suggestions provided by peashooter, I was able to fabricate and flare 4 new cunifer brake lines with stainless steel rock guard for the rear axles.

It took me approximately 6 hours to remove the old lines, fabricate the new ones, and reinstall them. I now have working brakes again which can lock up all at wheels at 40 mph if I need to! Considering that this is the first time I have ever fabricated a brake line in my life, I am pleased with the results. I couldn't (and probably wouldn't) have done this if not for the information and suggestions in this thread.

With winter coming, I only did what was necessary to restore reliable braking at this time. The frame lines and front axle lines look like they will last for this winter. I plan to replace all of the remaining lines and flex hoses next summer using the information available here.

Peashooter, as I replace the remaining lines and hoses next summer, I will measure and provide line lengths for the A3 that are different from the A2 variants.

Well Clinto was able to obtain a new Dual Circuit Master Cylinder Bracket. We modeled it up in 3D CAD....and then ran out of time to put much additional effort into the project for the time being. We understand that this is a complex shape and not something likely to be easily duplicated at a cost inline with what most members are willing and able to pay. In an attempt to take advantage of the site's many members who may have creative ways to redesign this in a cost effective way and/or access to discounted manufacturing processes needed, we wanted to share what info we have put together so far (a digital CAD model of the factory bracket). So for you folks who have Fab skills, tools, and access to a CAD software; you can find the files on GRABCAD (a CAD fileshare site). The files are saved in a number of formats, but there are NO DRAWINGS, only 3D CAD files. The 3D files contain all the dimensioning needed.
Please note that the bracket was modeled exactly after the cast bracket. There is a "Simplified" version cad file of the bracket as well that has most of the fillets and drafts removed that are inherent to the cast design. The model should at least give proper dimensions and angles for those who undertake the challenge of redesigning this into an easier to fabricate weldment that will meet form, fit, and function of the original ductile iron casting.
