I have a 99 M35A3 w/ 6" lift and looking to upgrade tire size to 1600/20. I'm not sure about running my stock A3 wheels. I have been looking at machining the HEMTT wheels w/ an adapter plate or I found some wheels that require no machining work and appears you use MRAP adapter plate but have no clue what the wheels are. I called C&C Equipment they have installed these mystery wheels on their custom bobber trucks (shown on their website and photo I attached) they called them a MRAP wheel but they were short on the phone and didn't provide any info. Do they make 2 different MRAP wheels?

Been spending a lot of time looking online and at the forums but need help. What's my best option?

Including 4 photos.
- 1 is a photo of wheels on a skid, they are found on ebay, the guy is calling them HEMTT Wheels but I don't think they are. Unfortunately he only has 3
- 1 photo is a black wheel & tire, it is from C&C Equipment's site for their custom builds
- 1 photo is a wheel with gold bolts, I found in a forum on this site
- 1 photo is a post from this site w/ the same wheel (w/ gold bolts) and a pic of the truck, he is calling them a PLS Wheel w/ MRAP plate

Thanks for you reply , I was just worried about the backspacing with running my stock a3 wheels with bigger tires

Use the a3 wheels. They are fine. 14.00-20's fit great under an unlifted a3. So with a 6" lift 16.00's won't be a problem.

I forgot to mention the bead may look a little funny with a 14.00 or 16.00 tire mounted on an a3 wheel. It's not an issue. It's perfectly safe.

lol Very true ill be posting pic soon I'm a new be with the hole military trucks but I'm addicted now . I'm about ready to pull the trigger and place the order for the 4.90 ouverson gears I talked to randy told me that it would be a 20% mph increase in speed with stock tires . I just hope that she won't be gutless on bottom end I had the fuel turned up to around 250hp by cat just hate the rpm's being at redline to do 50mph . Would really like to 55mph around 2000 rpm's is my goal .

An a3 will do 60mph on 14.00-20s at the governor. 16.00's will probably get you there. The higher gears would make it a gutless wonder. Don't waste your money.

Well thanks for your input maybe I should run the 1600's with stock gears first then. It would suck to have a truck with no power to move .

You wouldn't think there would be much difference in between the 1400's and 1600's but im still learning.
49" tall versus 52" tall. Yes there is a LOT of difference.

I would be concerned about the transmission getting hot and over strained with 16.00s.

Thats a good possibly seeing how its a 4 speed transmission . Ill probably add a transmission cooler to try and play it on the save side
