The States has all the cool things, I grew up watching the tail end of the Apollo program and watched the shuttle program start to finish but there is definitely a special place in my heart for the A-10 Warthog.

Stills boggles my mind that they are out of production. Seems to me it is the absolute most perfectness thing for the types of wars we are fighting.

Out of production is relative. I recall Boeing offered to open the 707 line again a few years ago. Min order was 6. Long as the jigs weren't destroyed...

For these though, the hull is so durable I'm surprised you'd need more than parts, and enough to replace the few you loose in training.
