Correct, should be here Saturday.
I know you already ordered the diodes but before doing that I wanted to ask if you went through the TM procedure for testing the S/R/S switch? It's a long shot but worth the look. Also I thought about the speed switch but since holding the S/R/S switch in start position didn't help anything I pretty much ruled that out. I would still do a speed switch swap-out though if it were my set just to eliminate that possibility 100%. Hoping you get it sorted out soon. Good luck!

I got around to changing out the rectifying diodes. After taking them out and testing each I didn't find any that were bad according to a multimeter all had .40 or better reading on them. I started the generator and ZIP on the hertz and volts meters and checked with meter and no power.
I then took a 9 volt battery and used jumpers to the F1 and F2 wires after it was started and the needle jumped into place and the generator then produced power accordingly. Switched off generator and then restarted and got nothing again.
Back to trying something else.
My friend put a meter on the back of the s/s/r switch and found that they every contact point was showing power in the stop position. we then switched it to start and still got power at every point. He thought there should have been a difference one way or the other with at least one connection showing no current.
Anyone have other suggestions. I'm now thinking it may be possible the speed switch may be bad.
How do I find out which pole is A and which pole is C in the contacts so I can check to see if they have 24 volts of current?
