Add arctic kit to M998 HMMWV

Thinking about adding an arctic kit to a M998. If you've done it, would you recommend it?

Are you talking about the arctic top and doors, or a fuel fired heater?

There were two variants of heater, Swingfire and something else. They are in the TM. My understanding is you can't even start it up unless its like -30 out because it will turn the cab into an oven.

If you can find a complete kit it shouldn't be too hard. You have to add a second pickup to the fuel tank, though there is a bung for it.

The arctic top and doors go on the same way the regular ones come off. Takes maybe 30 min to do. They just have extra insulation.

Anyone adapted a big-truck fuel heater to their HMMWV? I'm about to get creative. The right is for the larger truck and the left was a heater I purchase many years ago - both are new. I know that the left side heater will do the job easily but the kit came with the right side heater. Thoughts on location?

Alternative: PM simp5782 - I just bought a new Mobile Climate Control Combo system from him. It doesn't have any manual so I am requesting information from the manufacturer; however, it looks pretty simple after looking other options. All I need now is a compressor for the AC. I'm looking to fab an external 24 volt motor with a belt to a small format compressor. I have to believe that it would be easier and faster to implement. Sounds crazy but these combo boxes don't require a huge compressor or lots of power. None of them do.
