PTO nuts are 9/16". You need combination wrenches for this. A catch pan for the oil. Vise grips for the studs.

The shifter is bolted the master cylinder. Save the short little bolts. Also, gasser shaft is different. It can be used but some clearancing will be required.

10-15 pounds. Once the bolts are removed it'll usually stick on there, because of the gasket. Once you break it loose it won't come crashing down like a ton of bricks but does requires at least a firm grip, with at least one hand, to prevent it from smacking you in the noggin.

Thanks all for the help!
Any idea how heavy is the PTO ?

About 20 lbs. Not to bad unless you drop it on your foot. Take a good set of standard wrenches and other assorted mech's tools.
Mind the gasket thickness, it will help when installing it.

Agreed. $800-1000 for the PTO plus winch and shaft is a good deal. Just my 2cents
This is assuming you actually find one. They are getting extremely rare. That is why the surplus places are getting $600.00 and more for a good used one. If it's the double one ( front and rear shafts) they are going for almost $1200.00 . So if you find one for under $300.00 your doing very well. Remember they only fit this "one" application. The Spicer 3052, 3053 transmission.
