Hello all,
I realize there are other threads out there about half doors and other members making them.

What I am inquiring about is if there would be interest to a complete set of half doors that are one off of the original type.
What I am designing would be a 1/4" thick aluminum door with a 90* bend on the top lip to provide an arm rest of sorts. This would use soft door hinges and handles.
The complete kit would come with hinges, hinge mounts for the body, door handles, door catches on the body and opener strap with keeper. Bare aluminum so you can paint to match your truck.

I am thinking these would be around $1400-$1500 for a set of 4 with all the hardware.

What kind of interest is there? if any?

Thanks,
Corey

I would prefer if they used the X door hardware so I can switch between the two without having to change out the door strikers. Also, are you sure the soft door hinges wouldn't cause fit issues with possible sagging due to the weight.

I would be but I plan to run A/C so I need soft or hard full doors.

I saw a picture on instragram of a company making their own full door system for about the same price.

I thought about using the X-door hardware, but I think that most of the trucks being released use the soft door hardware and that would make it a more attractive item to them. But I do understand the weight concern.
Dan, This is true. There is a company out West that is doing an all aluminum full door with windows using the soft door hardware and last time I checked they were at a price point of around $2500-$3000 for a set of 4.

I thought they were less. For that price I would stick with legit x doors.
