M35A2 Brake line Size

I'll push this back up.

Just purchased a M109 and need to go through the brake lines. I know of one leak.

It was asked before, but is someone selling entire replacement kits?

My plan was to take off the offending section and go to Napa and get lines and fittings to replace. This should be sufficient, no?

Also, I have no idea if the truck has DOT 3 or DOT 5. If I was guessing, I'd say a mixture. How to tell what fluid is in it, and how to flush the system for a refill (after I fix the leaking line)?

when you are bleeding the brakes with a power bleeder (i'll most likely get someone to help and bleed each wheel) but do you have to open the bleeders at each wheel when power bleeding? Just put the system under pressure and move from wheel to wheel and crack the bleeders until no more air comes out in the fluid?

You have to do each wheel and the air-pac (air-pac first). Post #2 of this thread gives the bleeding order.

I got the leaking hard line fixed today. BUt didn't have any DOT 5 to add back, However, when I started the truck back up, I got the 'no air' buzzer and it would not build air pressure. Did not have that problem before with the leaking line. Will the truck not build air pressure without fluid in the brake system? Also noticed that the vent line was disconnected from the top of the master cylinder.....does that need to be hooked up at all times?

The truck has DOT 5 in it. That stuff is expensive. How is the best (Ive done some reading on the subject) to get it switched over to DOT3?

Don't switch it over to DOT 3. DOT 5 is far superior to DOT 3 in almost everyway. There are plenty of places that sell it for a reasonable price. Peashooters thread on brakes has a number of places that sell it.
