Ah....... glad to hear we'll have two of these nearby. Am in Franklin-Springboro-ish area.

There are a few GREAT of threads in here on AC. Search "Air Conditioning" unfortunately you can;t search by AC. There is a lot of good threads in addition to the great ones too. These threads are near the top infact. Just thumb down thru the first couple pages and you will find them.

You might want to review site rules about posting auctions.

What is shown is simply the evaporator which is the inside the cab portion. You'll also need a compressor, brackets, condenser (and brackets), a dryer, hoses, engine pulley, idler pulley, various bolts to get all of that stuff connected, belts, and, of course, Freon. What's listed on the auction is probably the easiest item to come up with.

Coachgeo, Thanks for the reply. Actually that is my listing and I have a customer that keeps asking, and after several times of asking him to post on here, I figured I would. But this isn't something I really don't want to research to much at this time, as I am planning on putting one in my M1083 here soon. Since you're so close, let me know if you need anything before you look elsewhere. I am in the process of getting everyone online, but I have a lot of items for these. New flooring, AC units, these seem to be hot items as of late. Anyway, thanks for the heads up on the other post, was hoping to get someone "in the know" and could answer real fast.

mkceon, Thanks for the advice on the posting of auctions, maybe I should of just took a picture of the item. By any chance are you aware of any of those part numbers or where to locate the part numbers? I really want to help this guy out.. Or if there are any pictures of the parts posted? Any information would be of great help.

If it's your auction then it's not an issue but you might want to lead with that.

Since I don't have an A1 I don't know the specifics but would think the 1st Generation stuff - as far as condenser and compressor - would work, but the compressor bracket needs to be specific to the C7 not the 3116 engine. I know Eastern Surplus has the condensers on their site so you could probably get a part number off that. You might also PM Scotmandu as he has A1s and has been working on AC items.

I am just finishing up an AC install on an FMTV. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with a roof mounted electric system and forgo all the headaches with the after-market, traditional crank powered system. Seriously, this has been the most difficult install ever and I am still looking for the idler pulley assembly. If anyone out there has one, please let me know, even if its just a manufacturer and part #. Thanks!

Looks like I was your only taker on the auction since I was outbid on a lot of them from GL a month ago. Unit is sitting in my kitchen waiting to be installed! It was slightly damaged in transit, but easily repaired!

I will end up getting A/C for my M1081. I will say before asking the same questions in this thread that many others have, read every A/C thread there is on here. The guys who are working towards getting the system up and running are very knowledgeable because they've done it first hand. I don't mean to be rude but they have put many hours into setting theirs up and documenting all of it here for us, so take the time to read it.
