well.... back into the dodge at the moment. disassembled the spring leaves front and back, those for the back part are repainted and ready to go back into place.
front ones will be cleaned tomorrow and get the layers of paint in the week.
afterwards it's waiting till the sandblaster works again so i can get the axles completely ready for remounting them.
gearbox is empty except for the reversed gear, looking for a way to clean the inside without taking that out .
main brake cilinder is cleaned and reassembled, wheel brake cilinders are in the process of getting disassembled ( 2 for right side are emptied, left side is to folllow) and looking for a repair set that has all the parts for them ( most don't have the outer metal cups and those are way beyond re-use condition)
also going to find someone that has experience and tools to hot rivet ( and get a round look on both ends of the rivet) so i can take the side plate off the frame and clean that one out also.
when i started i was full of the idea that it would go quick but seems the dodge ( and lots of missing equipment i needed) decided otherwise.
it's going slowly but steady
also got me a metal ben hur trailer to go with it
(also a resto)
grtz
