I have had more trouble with bugs than I have with mice. After 30 years of collecting I have decided to relocate 30 miles to the south of where I am now. Finding a nice house with outbuildings, parking for the collection of MVs and trailers and no city ordinances at the right price point is proving to be problematic.

Put moth balls in the truck, and around the tires. Maybe even crush one on top of each tire.

I keep a 40' Hi-cube ISO container in the side yard here in Florida to store everything in. Steel shelves floor to ceiling optimizes floor space & you can walk in & find stuff quickly without digging thru stuff on the floor. Mice can't get in & damage stuff, humidity is dealt with by the factory installed vents in the upper walls. The Florida heat is mitigated by plastic pallets I get from work that are scrap on top of the container to stop the suns rays. It has worked well for almost 10 years!

Amazing how much stuff you can get inside.

I had a mouse get into my 'can' once, I think it rode in on the Kubota. I found it laying on the floor all dried up and mummified.
Mine sits in part shade part sun and gets HOT! I painted the roof with silver mobile home roof coating and that seemed to help a lot. When I got the can I did back the truck in just for the heck of it, about the only way I would've been able to get out would have been to pull the back glass and climb over the seat.

Exactly why after loading things in trucks and windows up, they were in neutral and pushed back. Had blocks for rear tires already in place to prevent bumper to wall contact.
Then chocks on front wheels.
Hood was already unlatched for battery access and a block of wood to prevent inadvertent closure.
Same for front truck.

I do have to do some climbing to check battery's in rear truck.

When its its time for them to come out, its as simple as hooking up a tow strap.

Crazy. That is a lot of work. I think a nice dry garage and a truck cover serves better and is easier to access. My friend has several Mustangs and a couple other classic cars and an electronic sound ray??? That and keeping the place clean seems to deter any damage. He has a nice CUCV M1008 also in the garage. Not sure I would be secure not being able to look them vehicles over at a moments notice. But to each his own. I will be happy with the dry barn. No meases here. Kitty Kats seem to take care of that problem. Have a great day. I would bury the containers and that would make them bomb resistant also. Right now they are great targets.

My setup works for me.
It was a lot of work and expense for a reason.
Took me quite a while to find two more good ones
from Uncle Sam.

I don't have to worry about fire, theft, mice, snakes, and cat hair, etc.

You can have the barn.

My girls will have two original and complete rust free CUCVs when the time comes.
