Water in fuel system

On the factory filter there is a void at the inside bottom (about an inch or so) free of filter element.
The Sensor is on the fuel filter mount (one of the bottom arms that stabs into filter).

Water collects in the bottom of filter and sets of the sensor.

I tore into a filter to figure it out since I was curious myself.
Filters are built like little vaults. Hard to get into.

And that warning comes before the water level rises to a point it stops or impinges on fuel flow. So do heed it.

The probe is closer to the top of the void than the bottom.
