I would venture the truck likely wasn't left sitting with the Fuel Shut off lever in the OUT (engaged = no fuel) position. Therefore, it may be possible that the fuel plunger will be stuck in the wide open position. Not a rare occurrence to be sure. What this means to you is when you go to try and start it the first time, if it runs, it may go straight to FULL THROTTTLE, also known as a "run away".
You can open up and clean that fuel plunger before hand to ensure it's not sticking (I've never done so, I have only read about it here and stayed at a Holliday Inn). Other often recommended options are:
As far as batteries, Group 31 are the largest that can fit in the battery tray, but you'll need to fashion your own hold down. The stock are two 6TL batteries but are generally considered not worth the expense.

- Have a non-powder fire extinguisher handy by the air-intake. Like Halon or, easier to find, CO2.
- Remove the air-intake mushroom cap and have a large, sturdy piece of wood handy to jam over the air-intake to block the air and kill the motor.
