802a starved of fuel?

So finally got around to playing with my 802a yesterday. It seems the unit is getting fuel during the 'priming' stage, but once running... she runs dry about 30 seconds later. I can hear the pump running on both Prime + Run as well as Aux + Run... but is there a separate circuit for keeping the pump running while not in prime stage?

I was getting this, then changed out the inline fuel filter in case it was blocked, but am getting the same thing. The fuel/water separator I could not unscrew to save my life... don't know what the **** I am doing wrong, but these 5kw units certainly are crammed in the case (compared to the 10kws). I can't even get my hand to the front of the block to access the drain T (was flushing the system yesterday).

The 803's aren't any better for the fuel / water separator. I had to remove the separator and base completely from the unit and introduce it to my bench vise and strap wrench. And even then it came off in pieces.

As mentioned, the seperator is a pain. They age on there, I have had luck with filter wrenches. It IS a filter, so could be stopped up...

My first though was remove the fuel line after the 2nd filter and see how much fuel is making it that far... Then repeat down stream.

I wish the government had specified threaded PEMs for the backing nuts of the sheet metal, versus the integrated washer/nut combo. I dropped a few of those nuts into the sheet metal seeing if they were threaded in, or if they had backing nuts.

Going to probably need to find a source for extras, if my gut tells me anything.

I gave up and ordered 100 stainless screws and nuts and am just replacing them when I have to pull a panel.

Know the size offhand (as well as the mating screw I guess.. should just replace them all as I go).
