I just finished installing the Spin-on Kit from Scar59 and I highly recommend that others do this. It was easy and makes future oil changes a lot cleaner. Thanks Scar59

Now need a good price to convert my Deuce.

I have all Jatonkas Spin-ons for my M35A2 and they were very easy to install and work beautifully. I am very pleased with his product.

RNeely,
Glad it came together for you. Makes future filter changes real easy. Find a old baking pan, makes a great drip pan for under the filter, rests on the frame rail.

Yes! But do not try and use the tin foil type of pan. I learned my lesson the hard way...

Updating this for future use. This is a link to the oil filters that will fit the spin on system for the NHC250 engine.

Basic filters - NAPA 1970 ( micron rating 20) , Baldwin B96 (micron rating 27), Donaldson P551670 (Micron Rating 21), AC Delco PF67 (25+ micron rating) Wix 51970 (20 micron), LuberFinder LFP670 is by far the best @ 14 microns

but there are more

There is another benefit to changing over to the spin on filter you don't need as much oil to refill the truck the new spin on does not need a gallon of oil like the oil cartridge unit.

That depends on the type of filter you use. The napa 1970 is almost 4 inches shorter than the luberfinder I use from time to time. The Baldwin is 2 inches longer. I have seen a Endurance filter made by Donaldson that is 17 inches long compared to the napa is 9.8 inches. I was told the endurance was good for around 15,000miles but I am not testing that.

Detroit Diesel p/n 23518531, newer filter medium for synthetic oil. As for the conversion kit for M35, I went with Jatonkas kit also. Nice set up.
