Airlift bumper license plate mount

Just installed my airlift bumper and need a plate holder for it. what are people doing to install a lighted plate mount?

I just did a search on their site for LICENSE and got four results...bracket, lamp, lamp guard, and a front bracket...

I used 2 magnetic dealer plate mounts and an LED license plate bracket with a resistor inline to bring down the voltage so it didnt burn out. Ran the power wire to the marker light on that side. Did the same thing to the front minus the light. The magnets are pretty strong and I can take the plates off at shows and when on trails so they don't get beat up.

the rear bracket that Kascar shows out of stock is a Trucklite item , 42722.
My last humvee came with two self tapping screws in the tailgate for the plate.
Or attach it to a mudflap.

My setup is pretty simple.

I drilled and tapped the bumper for threads directly since it is substantially thick enough. Made a bracket out of some sheet metal for the LED plate light that bolts behind the license plate. There are some spacers behind the plate and light bracket so it clears the bumper bolts.



Plate light is tied into the tail light harness and everything is sealed up with adhesive lined heat shrink.

Here's the whole factory setup. I decided I'm not paying $300 for the H1 plate mount... Total cost less than $10 since I already had the spacers, bolts, wire, and sheet metal for the bracket. Plate light was like $6 and then a little bit for the heat shrink.

Action - you do know that you do not need to mount the plate in FL if theres no original mounting place on your military truck - you do need to have the plate in your vehicle.

I really liked your plate mount when I saw it but I just had zero patience to hunt down one of the mounts when I got my plate.

I was considering possibly mounting it the opposite direction so it would swing out of the way if you dragged it over anything off road.

Never mounted a tag on any of my trucks -- 5 tons or Humvees-- never been stopped. I also don't drive like an idiot..... rode bye and have been passed bye leo's and usually get a wave or a thumbs up!

I had my plate installed in IN and KY. Mine is on a foldup bracket. It tilts up and out of the way if I need to go offroading.
