How to flash 28V DC generator

After about two month rest, my 28 Volt DC, 4.2KW generator decided to put out only 1.3 Volts with no reason. It was a perfect running generator before rest. It is by Minowitz Mfg with 4A032.
I heard a term "flashing", how do I flash this one?

Look at TM 5-6115-596-14 for the Trouble shooting diagram, page 5-4. Work through that first, as it might be something else wrong. If you do not have the manuals, go to the TM section in SS, and get them. Keep us informed.
