m35a2 oil canister leak

I;m waiting for the swap meet to purchase the spin on adapters for the oil filters.This is not military issue but the canisters leak a little is that the norm or should i go with spin ons..thanks to all with a idea.

Install spin on filters/adapters; do your part to save an engine.
Engine lube design is to drain all lube oil to crankcase on shutdown
so when engine is started the turbo bearings go wanting for lube oil
10, 20. 30.40, seconds no oil!

Nobody called me wrong on this, it is OK.
I been slammed fore, didn't hurt much.

Yup

The oil drips through the filter material. Just cause it does not "drain back" doesn't mean it doesn't drain forward.

Yes its slower, but it still drains out.
