Hey y'all, anyone have a Proto J5128 tool for my head gasket replacement? Just purchased a gasket set and hope to tackle this project in the next few days-weekIMG_1230.jpg

Thanks for the tip, I was reading that thread earlier and would prefer to just borrow the proper tool. Would gladly pay shipping both ways

Eli,
Just curious as to why you are considering doing head gaskets on your new truck. That truck does have some oil seepage near the front of the block but it is a very common issue. So common that the Army quit doing head gaskets on them unless they really started making a mess of a leak or they were diagnosed as having other issues associated with a head gasket leak such as pressurization of the cooling system or water in the oil.

Hey Joseph, the oil leak from the front and rear of the block doesn't bother me as it is minor, but upon looking for a coolant leak hitting my front axle I discovered the head gasket is leaking coolant on the passenger side pretty close to where the two heads conjoin.
