Did you have a "Soldier B" on the recovery trip? I'm assuming you didn't flat tow your car home.

Looks like you got creative to keep the soft top on the truck!

Sure did, we turned and burned over 800 miles Friday night after work together, and then hopped in the truck after inspection, did some preventative maintenance, and headed east. The top was mint condition until I hit 20mph on test drive and the front stitching popped so the entire top inflated like a parachute. I experimented with camo gorilla tape, which held for over 150 miles before it failed in the rain; so after adding more duct tape to no avail I devised a plan.

Facing the storm of the century, we geared up and headed to the local Walmart to acquisition 100' of 3/16's rope, utilizing over 70' of it securing the top down. Needless to say I looked like the Beverly Hillbilly's on steroids packed up heading east. I'll post more pictures of it before I take it all down, rather comical I might say

If it's dumping air into intake stack when you're applying brakes it's the Q2 valve
Changed out the Q2 valve today, took about 15 minutes and low & behold my brakes no longer dump air! I found 2 small pieces of the nylon ball in the old unit upon disassembly, the hungry drier monster must have ate the rest

Would help someone else having same problem if you posted brand and part number of valve you replaced.

Btw some O'Reilly auto locations stock them for $57 but if you're good at negotiating you can snag one for $40
