M939 Wiper Hose Replacement Options

There are several threads where the question of where to find this hose was asked. There are several threads where people replaced the hose but failed to mention the source. There are a few threads where people used something else but didn't mention what they used.

So, who's got the OEM 7/32" high pressure stuff and what has been used successfully in it's place?

I have some 1/4" Parker Push-lok 350 psi hose I'd like to use but I'm not happy with the fit on the copper lines. I don't like the hose clamp doing all the sealing. A proper fitting hose should do most of that.

I have nothing useful to add. Just a comment -

When they pop loose unexpectedly in the middle of a long uneventful drive, they will literally startle the pee right out of you. Ask me how i know...

I used 7/32" rubber line from a local parts house, works fine.

The 5/16" doesn't come loose? I might have to give that 1/4" Push-lok hose a try then. It's some tough stuff. Not as much worried about the pressure as I am the sun. After repairing that busted line on the driver side wiper valve last night, I find that replacing the dash hoses is not going to be very fun. Whatever I use will have more slack in it then I was given.

2yrs and doing fine. No popping off. No hose clamp issues either

Cut the old ones. Drop the switch out and run the lines down the dash. Leave slacking hook to the switch and then fish it up and over the plug for the light switch. Passengers side easier.

I can't remember the dia of the hose I used, I think 7/32. Its a tight fit and I used oetiker clamps. It was plain old vacuum hose

Is this really a problem that needs to be addressed regularly? I've had M939 series trucks since 2001 and put thousands of miles on them, and I don't recall EVER replacing the wiper hoses. Is this a common problem?

Most trucks ive gotten they were just dried and hard as a rock and Crumbled over time. Or slow leaks

My hoses coming out of the dash are heavily dry rotted. The ones at the wiper motors are in much better shape. I just had one split behind the dash the other day. I just want to use something good so I don't have to do it again. After repairing the one behind the dash, I can tell complete replacement won't be fun.

I oil my wiper motors about once a year. Last year I guess I didn't tighten one of the clamps all the way and the hose slipped off while going down the road. That thing whipped all over the place blowing air and dust all in my face. The folks passing me probably thought I had killer bees in the truck while I was trying to catch hold of that stupid little hose.
