Factory style floor covering. Who's the best?

That is the top before it was tucked behind the floor duct and pinned in the corner.
Once it lays out a while it flattened out nicely.

There is another brand that a member had installed and it was too short to the firewall.
Big gap and looked bad.

I think I will go with the you have.
Looks good and fits. Plus you've had really good wear with it and it's not a garage queen.

One of the things you should do before putting in a new mat is replacing the vent door seals. Every time I've gone to pull up the factory mats in any square body truck, the pad underneath has been completely soaked because water leaks in through the foot well vents. So I replace those seals with some universal soft weather rubber strip usually used in the custom glass industry. It comes in rolls and stays malleable and it seems to work great. The factory seals look like they're made from junk material to start. Silicone would probably work too. I've always bought the mat from Classic parts. p/n 39-045. They don't lie when they say it fits exactly like the original, even claims its still made in the exact same plant as when these trucks were new. Cheers

Got my LMC mat today.......it's supposed to be 1/8" thick, but it's not, 1/16" thick only......not sure they sent me the right mat.....does have some texture on top.....looks to be 6' wide by 5' tall, so will require significant trimming.....not impressed

The LMC mat I put in 3 years ago fit well and is holding up very well.
I do have L/R floor mats too.
Drive almost every day.

What did you do for floor insulation?

Im going with the Classic Parts floor mat, but need something like the original insulation.
They only carry the peel and stick stuff.
I do not want to use that stuff.

There was a plastic disc in the shipping box with lettering that says "K-17 Alliance Plastics Co. Erie, PA 1"

I'll give it a couple days over the weekend to unfold from being shipped, but still disappointed it's 1/16" thick vs the 1/8" thick LMC represented in their catalog.....very disappointing.

Almost looks like a blanket

I would be upset too
That is too thin for my use.
Foot traffic, plus the tools, guns, ammo cans, dogs, etc that will beat on it.

This stuff appears to be awesome......I bought two rolls and used one roll and a quarter of the second roll to line the floor of my cab in place of the OEM jute mat, which was quite nasty.

Brushed, sanded, and primed 2X the driver and passenger floor pans, and then cut and rolled the Peal and Seal.......it was easy to work with as long as you didn't allow the sticky side to fold back on itself.....seems to adhere very well to the cab floor.

Was a little disappointed in the "OEM" mat from classicparts.com as it was not very thick and pre-punched holes did not align exactly as needed, but it was a big improvement vs the mat from LMC. I removed with a cut-off wheel the raised plate in the passenger floorpan, as well as a smaller raised plate next to the transfer case shifter, to get the mat to contour better with the floor.....it needs to lay out a bit more I think before making a final conclusion on fit. I'll also use individual floor mats for driver and passenger floors as others have done.
