M1088 auxiliary tranny cooler

Anyone with an m1088, how often does your auxiliary tranny cooler kick on? I've never seen the fans run on my radiator, but haven't ever had a load on it, or driven long or hard enough for it to be hotter than a normal temp.


Also, how necessary is this cooler if the fifth wheel is being removed? I haven't looked into the cooling system yet, but is the aux cooler the only cooler for the m1088, or 2nd?

Mine has never kicked in either. Keep the cooler, your wallet will thank you : )
