does anyone have the paint code for 1958/59 vintage 24087 semigloss. looked in the forum but could not find it and home depot says they dont have the federal paint codes in their system. also, how does the behr look in semi gloss? thinking of going with behr or the tm9 ord 2 part paint sprayed over a nice 2 part epoxy primer.

thanks

jason

As bimbly stated "More modern codes, 34094, 30051, 24087 etc. are still in the HD system. You can get a list of the codes in our computer by going under ( you have to tell them to look under Competitor ) Competitor Color look up and selecting Federal Standard as the manufacturer then have them enter the five number code."

24087 is the victim of several changes in FSC595 over the decades. David Doyle posted the details of the story back in 2007.

24084 is the match to the old 24087.

Ok this is what I used on my M135 it came off the color place cheapo paint computer at Wally world so not Behr and used their 9553C base ( ext semi gloss)This is from another MV 3 years later but is still the same FSS paint code the 135 was painted DSCN4329.jpg
Day it was painted in 09 M135new paint.jpg then later that year M135 1styear.jpg two years later got a hard top that was painted with another paint M135fresh.jpg later that winter M135new years day.jpg

and this was this morning, It's not that dark it is in the AM shade

you can see that 9 years ago I didn't prep the wheels very good. Also it has sat outside since it was painted, in case you didn't think Wall Mart paint wasn't any good! .

I'm not positive what shade it is you are looking for, but I matched this color off of a 1950s dated gas can. It is what I am painting my M135 with. It is Behr semi-gloss.

Here is the color match on the gas can. The darker green spot in the upper right corner was my first attempt. The final attempt is just to the left of the dark green spot.

If this is the color you are going for, I can post the code later.

I know this is a really old thread but do you still have the behr paint code you used?
