2086 ea. produced as SEE Small Emplacement Excavator.

This one is build in 1987.

1. Capabilities of the SEE

a. The SEE is a highly mobile all wheel drive diesel engine driven tractor equipped with a rear mounted backhoe, a front mounted bucket, and portable hand held auxiliary hydraulic tools such as a pavement breaker, rock drill, and a chain saw. (We add an impact wrench as usefull tool)

b. The SEE Tractor is used to rapidly excavate small combat positions such as TOW, Machine gun and individual fighting positions, mortar positions, and Command Posts in the main battle area. Additionally, the SEE is able to tow trailers with a maximum weight of 17,000 lbs.

c. With the backhoe and loader attachments installed the tractor weighs 15,750 lbs. Due to its compact size; two can be loaded into a C-130 cargo aircraft.

d. The SEE Tractor has improved road speeds up to 50 MPH, and cross country speeds comparable to support tracked or other wheeled vehicles

Me too, (as) We had two on the airbase I wuz at. Lovely ' traditional military' (well used) trucks.

Saturday evening we serviced our SEE for our next task.
Following weekend we participate at " Historical Construction Site".

We took the grease gun an followed the instructions.
Fresh grease at all joints.

Migginsbros Freightliner Unimog FLU419 SEE

Filling the fuel tanks from jerrycans (our reserve), diesel is today 5,60$ a gallon.
Last year it drop to 4,55$ a gallon.

Gas 392. Got to love the Air Force as they kept all the TM's and If I remember even the factory line sheet.
