tie rod ends cross out?

Is there a commercial part number for the LMTV tie rod ends?

if you take one to napa they should be able to take some measurements to get you the right one. At one time I had the part numbers but have since lost them napa did have them available in warehouses in the lower 48.

The one on the end of the drag link is:
P-12877-KL0 or 12877-KL

I can't find a source for it. The drag link itself is 12650 REV C. Would appreciate it if someone could provide a xref for the two rod ends of the drag link.

the older trucks had a drag link with an end on it and an adjustable rod end on the other end. When mine failed I replaced it with a nos unit found on e-bay. I would love to find a commercial replacement for both that use a greasable end rather than the non serviceable that merritor supplied s&s

update on this is working out for you? Is your drag link of the type with the removable ends on both ends?

what came first in production..... the solid one with one end fixed??? or the shaft with both ends replaceable?

on the shaft with removable ends.... is it a hollow tube??

If hollow anyone ever see in it to discern wall thickness aka.. tube ID/OD .... got pictures ??

I'm a bit confused. Are these the drag link part numbers for the NEWER part with dual replaceable ends? I'm guessing not. I have a NAPA, but it is a tiny store. Doubt they could cross anything much. I only have access to the older TM's about the drag link. Anyone have access to the newer one's with the newer link?

Has anyone now found an alternative for "Socket Assembly 12877 - KL"? Do other tie rod ends such as 10QH39P1 fit?

I wonder if it would not just be better to have a 4x4 fab (or a Fab welder) just make you a new tie rods with more modern and available ends. Places like
Barnes may have or can lead you to joints.
