Just found you guys. I live in Sanderson, TX with a 74 m35A2. It's just easiest to Google my town. Sanderson is between El Paso and Del Rio on the rio. We live an hour south of highway 90 on a cattle ranch.

Welcome Aboard  Find a bunk, stow your gear, and prepare to get underway :driver:

I'm well aware of Sanderson's location. Have made the San Angelo to El Paso run plenty of times as an optional route to my mother-in-law's former LZ at Alamogordo, NM.. When winter weather threatens our preferred route through Hobbs, NM and Cloudcroft we take the El Paso route.... Although we once hit a blizzard once we headed north out of El Paso on our final leg. We had to turn back and bunk at the border until the weather (and roads) were clear the next day.

Do you have an MV, or two, or three? Or are you presently an interested enthusiast?

Again, WELCOME!

John

Thank you. I've got a 74 deuce. I've had it for 4 years or so. She's my baby lol. She's been stubborn the last few months and not wanting to start. Are there any mechanics around these parts that you can recommend? New injector pump, fuel pump, injectors, return lines, clean tank, spin on oil and fuel filters and new batteries. I'm not sure there are any more parts to throw at her. And she still wont turn over. I'm stumped at this point. We are well over the 100s at this point and it's not even June. It's a scorcher down here.

There are lots of threads in the DEUCE Section of these SS Forums. You may have already looked there, but if you haven't then the SEARCH BOX is your friend
Sounds like you've already tried most of the "logical" stuff.

Hang out long enough, you will figure out the Texans are the normal ones. :)

Well I hope to meet some of you, I know I am going to have a boat load of questions about my truck when I get home from this deployment.

Side note:
As I am deployed and nowhere near my truck, I feel kind of like a poser posting and asking questions and feeding off the group for information for a truck I don’t have done. Furthermore I am having someone else building it for me because I am away.

No problem!
Ready to roll out of the motor pool or not, you still have something IN that motor pool.
Just enjoy swimming with the others. You're welcome here.

Unfortunately not, but if I was I would give you a hand.

Got the old girl running like a top and riding like a hay wagon the other day. Took her out for a long ride out in the brush.

Well I have been home for a few months and have my truck just about done (for now) and I got to say I'm a little sad that i haven't met up with anyone besides fuzzytoaster to buy stuff. Really wish there was more than one TX meet a year.

Welcome!
Sanderson is a cool little town (& that whole area is just AWESOME). I almost ended up working there for the Terrell County Sheriff's Office (this was back in 2009) but they called me two days after I had already accepted a position with another law enforcement agency.
