M35A2 Rims scrap price

Hey guys, I know free members are not allowed to sell parts..and I'm tired of having these 7 original tire/rim combos at my house..I want to get rid of them...so before I take them to a dumpster, does anyone in the Northern California area know where and how much these can be scrapped for? I've never scrapped metal before.

The national average for scrap steel is about $ .045 a pound so maybe $4.00 a piece.

But don't forget to deduct for the tires on the rims. You'll be lucky if a scrap yard will take them for free.....at least it works that way around here.

Big big NO NO to put tires in the trash, dumpster owner could get a huge fine and back charged for fishing those out of the refuse truck, tires need to be dismounted and properly recycled, costs me $6.00 a tire here in TX.

You can post in the "pay it forward" section of the classifieds. Give them away there, would be your best bet, or call your local scrap yard for prices and acceptance requirements for tires and rims.
