In the 90s, the Wife and I liked to hang out at Moose McGillycuddy's in Lahaina. I hear it's closed now. Also welcome aboard from Nevada, and Good Luck with your new truck.
Mooses is fine. But the real gem is downstairs, Fred's Mexican Cantina- show up a little before sunset, get yourself an outside table, order up some fishbowl-sized Margaritas, and watch the sun set over the Kam II beach.

The last time the Wife and I were there was September 1998. I don't know if Fred's Cantina was there then?

Seems like they would be caged for towing or maybe air leak in brake system. The auction ad says they could not start the truck but the dash pictures show the oil pressure gauge at 40psi and both front/rear break pressures up at 120 or so(obviously running) Hoping I can pull the cage pin and they will work.
How sketchy/unsafe is it to drive with caged rear breaks, granted it would be empty and I would drive slow and leave an increased following distance etc. ? Just to get home.
The instruments are electric and show random readings until you turn on the ignition. Caged brakes only mean no parking brake. But you will want to uncage them prior to the ferry ride.

All my friends and I call Baldwin beach on the Paia emd the cove.
In all the years we have lived in Maui, I have never heard anyone say that. The east end is known locally as "Lime Kiln":

...umm...because it doesn't run...
They caged the brakes because it doesn’t run?
I figured they caged them release the rear brakes to tow it, or maybe a brake issue like blow. D

yeah where the remnants of the lime facility is. I never heard it called that but I like that name better. I been here 10 years and I’m 49 years old. Maybe different generation call different things?

This does not look random to me.

Oh man I remember that. It was like some kind of shantytown, burning man, homeless hippy community. Home to fights, drugs, alcohol and drama. No doubt there were at least 100 tents back there. Seemed to pop up out of nowhere all of the sudden.

Yeah- it happened when we pushed them off of the Kahului Breakwater over there by the United Federation of Harbor Frights.

Certain officers also deputize themselves into the super-secret HRT (Homeless Relocation Team) by turning off their blue pilot lights and quietly transporting homeless people into other people's districts in the middle of the night. Boys will be boys...

Hey Dennis, I was looking at that one also, thought it was weird that it doesn't run but has pics of running dash......
I'm hoping to go out there in the next month, I'll try to take a look at it, the manager is super helpful there.
I've been so busy with this shut down I haven't even had time to look at my own rig, but hopefully once your euc clears I'll have a couple minutes free time to help you get this all sorted.
I'll let you know of any progress on my end.
