Running like a champ...then missing smoking and no power

(Then..) Just a thought..Some (Not all) of the deuces with the lds engines will run without the in tank working.
However, Some run extremely rough without it.
Some will not run.
Check the fuel supply.
(In Tank Pump Clogged, or missing bottom spacers).

Thanks, I am going to pull the tank off and go through the fuel system step by step as soon as possible.

Clear line isn't fuel rated but I like to keep some around to install so I can see if I have bubbles in the fuel going into the IP.

Is it a consistent big fat chuff chuff chuff miss like a steam engine? If it is, it is likely the head gasket between cylinders 5 and 6.

It is a consistent miss, but it was hit and miss when it first started.
