All LMTVs and MTVs are Pasha storage Kapolei.
They all get turn in at Joint Base Pearl Harbor. GP fly people in from the mainland and other countries like Germany and Australia to do the inspection.
OK, yeah, several months ago there was a Australian and i think English guys there, including the 3 guys I've met there, 2 haole and one local kid, everyone at GP has been super cool.

Good to know there all at kapolei, makes getting them a lot easier.

Dang, Gongho did they give any explanation for the 11 month wait? In2fords said his took a couple months from his Jan. 2020 purchase from Pearl Harbor, he already got his truck home. Am I able to get into Pasha easier to troubleshoot the no start issue? I’d like to have my truck running for the barge ride over to Maui. I guess Pasha is closer to the young brothers drop off at the harbor?

So, I got some troubling news. The pictures/ original inspection does not match the condition of the truck. A more current inspection than what was shown at the tiMe of auction has bad ecm written on the grill and the pcm has been molested. The ironclad assurance dispute has a deductible of $750. With that kind of problem I’m leaning towards eating the $750 loss and letting ironplanet keep this one.
On the other hand, verifying that the ecm is bad, acquiring another one and have it flashed etc may be an option. Anybody have a lead on ecm supplier?

Bummer, and that they then say $750 deductible is garbage IMHO!! Ecm, trans?
I'm actually looking for a parts truck, hopefully in the next auction, I don't know how the timing would work out but if I got one you'd be free to take the ecm

When I picked my truck up there was a serious issue with the truck not being in the described condition. I showed my concern to the GP agent. He called his supervisor right away and the supervisor offered a substantial price reduction/refund or I could cancel the sale with no penalty. Although I was not happy to find the truck in the exact condition that was described, I was very happy with how GP handled it. In my case there was no deductible. It was not even discussed.

man if an ecm from your future parts truck worked that would be nice. I’m still awaiting EUC clearance.

The $750 seems strange, if it’s not what it is at time of auction when you go to pick it up that seems like bs.

Oh man, that is awfully kind of you sir. I may take you up on that pending your parts truck purchase. I’m still waiting on EUC clearance.

I would guess the reason GP has that deductible is to prevent buyers from nit picking small discrepancies. From the buyers point of view, I agree, it seems like BS. I only have had one purchase experience with GP, but as I said, GP did not even mention the deductible.

The answer is there for you already:

The 3116 is a mechanical motor.

I have a bid on a truck that's up tomorrow, I'm hopeful but lately prices have been crazy high, last week all the trucks went for under$1-1.5k, but one truck went for $4k!!!
I bid on one with no serial number and out it bid on it, I'll have to call that guy from Costa Rica and see if he's buying them all up.

Make sure they are really trying to only give you back 1/4 the price, I'd fight that as hard as possible, but if that's all they will give, maybe we could work out a deal, i can't go full price but somewhere in the middle.

I just need door latches, drive shafts, trans heat exchanger, turret cover and swap tires to get me a matching set.
I'll ask the guy if he's still buying them up, maybe he'd be willing to buy the rest too get you a little more squared up? Either way I have another guy that will scrap the carcass but he's not paying anything.

I have been reading the TM about Engine Cranks but no start situations. It’s a challenge for me to get a definitive grip on the information.
Will a bad trans ecu cause a engine cranks but not start situation?
possibly... recent discussion elsewhere mentioned no start no crank if "neutral" signal is not there. (fixed so not to miss inform anyone)

If the trans ECM is bad or sees an error then cranking is disabled. Ie, no crank will occur. If the engine cranks then probably the transmission is happy. I would look in the Start Disable circuit (thats what it does: crank but no start) and check voltage to the fuel solenoid.

That’s what I was thinking as far as “if cranks trans circuit is happy”. It would not crank if it did not see neutral at least. Thanks for the heads up towards START DISABLE. The

Nice. That’s what I was thinking. If the truck is not seeing neutral etc. then crank would be disabled. The inspectors at ironplanet wrote an x and trans ecm bad but the truck cranks( but does not start). Not sure what level of experience they have. Thanks for the heads up on Start Disable. Back to the TMs.
