windshield frames

HI While sanding on the deuce I found my windshield frames are in pretty bad shape .Does anyone know of a place to get new or good used ones

Inner windshields or outer? Both are available used from many sources, including other Steel Soldiers. I have seen new inner windshields, but they run $150 ea.

Thanks Mike. New at this I didn`t know there was an inner & outer. I need the frames ,both sides for whats in the pic. Educate me please.

There is a guy in Rowan County that has repros for 125.00 I think. Let me see if I can find his name. He's on ebay alot selling MV stuff

Buy new ones... Cut the over hanging rubber gasket from around the glass, tape a 1/4 gap and fill the edge where the rubber was removed with windshield sealant (note: this is not a time to substute with silicone)... This will keep your new frames from rotting away!

I'm looking for a pair of good used inner windshield frames, (#9 in the exploded view above) sent to MA 02738. My glass is good and I'm willing to take just the metal if you have them available.

Try ALPHA HEAVEN, they sell good frames with cracked glass for $40.00 each. I just received one from them and it is in great shape. The top section looks new. Just take out the cracked glass and you're ready to prep for painting

I am not sure your frames look so bad. Unless they are rusted, the rubber will need to be replaced only. If you need glass, the local glass shop can handle that.

If the frames are not rusted too bad, can I put them in the blast cabinet, prime and paint?

Yes. Then put the rubber in with lube and a straight edge.
