Welcome to the group! There is a list here that is fairly comprehensive. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threa...e-for-an-fmtv-add-your-02.152218/post-1851692Good evening. Just recently joined the MV owners world and am loving it! Purchased a 1990 M923A2 and wondering if anyone has compiled a list of tools one should carry with them in their truck.
Any help/guidance/suggestion greatly appreciated.
Have you had a chance to play with the magnetic road pucks? Any idea what kind of battery life they have? Just curious... I spotted them last weekend and considered them as well.I bought 6 4 pack of the knock-off guardian angel magnetic puck lights from tractor supply. Keep some in my truck, some in my mv and my wife has some. Wouldnt think they would replace road triangles but a good sub for road flares.
i have not. But my business partner uses them for makeshift remote heli landing pad for night time landing while feral hog hunting. He says they last a while ( 3 rd season this yr and still good batt charge.Have you had a chance to play with the magnetic road pucks? Any idea what kind of battery life they have? Just curious... Wow! 3 seasons - guessing an hour per landing... Setup, Wait, Land, Shutdown, Deal with the Chopper, and either power up and take off again - and then gather and shutdown the pucks. I would guess an hour minimum. Who knows how many landings per season. DEFINITELY sounds like those batteries are pretty healthy!i have not. Probably 15-20 night flights per season. So id say cumulative, 2-3 hrs per season. Only turn them on when the acft is heard 5 min out, then around 5 min for shut down, but by then, vehicle headlights are illuminating the acft and unloading zoneWow! 3 seasons - guessing an hour per landing...
