Sealing washer pump grommet

Leaking well enough to wash my feet and floormats. I have not been able to locate a replacement sans the whole pump assembly. 3M body sealant did not work. Silicone it or what

I just used clear silicone on the wiring grommet and pump mounting to tank since I used a non oe pump.

I like the Lexel or Dap clear sealant. They make a good seal, even to wet surfaces, and unlike silicone they can be peeled off.
I used it all around my windshield as well, both inside and out.

Tried DAP Ultra Clear today and had no luck with it sticking to the body or grommet. I suspect it was too cold at 40ish to apply or may be expired

Funny thing is I pulled mine apart several times sealed it with multiple types of sealant finally to find that it was really leaking from the output barb. Replaced the small spring clamp (hose clamp) with a small rip tie problem solved. couldn't see the forest for the trees.

Yeah I’ve been going through multiple leaks during rains here. In this case I’ve got a leak around the outside diameter of the rubber grommet and also through the wires feeding through the middle of the grommet. I’m gonna try sealing both with polyurethane sealant later on.

If you go to your local auto parts store and ask for "windshield sealant" you get a slightly less viscous version of RTV that flows more easily. That will allow it to get down into areas you might not be able to apply regular silicon sealant to. I use it for sealing up connectors that I don't want to leak.
